Please pass my compliments on to all medial staff at the hospital, for the exemplary treatment I received, from my admittance with a fractured femur head on December 18th, to my discharge on the 23rd. Thanks to the expertise of the surgeon, Mr Lewis, the new stainless steel femur head is functioning well. The staff in A & E and on Coombes and Botolphs wards, were always reassuring and efficient – I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and cheerfulness of the hard-working young staff nurses.
Lastly, I was very impressed by the greatly increased standards of cleaning and hygiene, compared with 2005, when my late mother was a patient on Durrington ward, and by the high quality of catering – I was sorry to have missed lunch on the day of my discharge!
